1. Company Overview
-
Mission Statement: Democratise the monetisation of our consumer data to create sustainable Universal Basic Income
-
Founding Story:
My son is now a political scientist and disciple of Noam Chomsky and Yanis Varoufakis. I feel responsible. He has spent 20 of my 30 working years watching me helping corporations leverage data to increase revenue - or as he put's it - 'manipulate human will'. Over the last 5 years, there has been a concerted campaign to point out that capitalism isn't working. Brexit, COLA, and COVID in the past 3 years all played their part in getting me to agree. The technology advances we have seen in the same period of time does give us the opportunity to do something about it. The technologies to enable us to think of data as an active consumer revenue stream are mature. Sustainable Universal Basic Income can be possible.
2. Market Opportunity
-
Problem Statement: Consumers are not getting the value from the data they share, businesses are not getting the data they need while the problem with Universal Basic Income has been how to fund it.
-
Market Size:
-
The data market is set to become a $3.6Tn industry by 2030.
-
Businesses need more good quality data = more cost (storage, processing), more risk (data misuse)
-
Lawsuits for data misuse are increasing
-
AI outpaces regulators
-
-
-
Competitive Landscape: Nascent. There are competitors that are focused on resolving one part of the process (e.g. Ad Blockers). U-BI leverages mature tech end to end to make the democratisation of data monetisation possible.
3. Business Model
-
Revenue Streams: U-BI charges businesses for access to data, AI analytic models, and reports
-
Pricing Strategy: Pay per Use or Subscription to access data on Platform, Fixed Fee for Reports and Licenses, Margins on analytic models. Pricing is based on value and volume of data.
-
Go-to-Market Strategy: Think big, start small, scale fast. Start with one industry/one region/one regulation and scale. FMCG/Singapore/PDPA
4. Product/Service Information
-
Description: A data exchange comprising of a flexible API's, decentralised data store, data ingestion, tokenisation, smart contracts, and analytics
-
Features and Benefits: Data is ingested and fragmented into data elements. Privacy constraints are applied and these data elements are tokenised. Regulatory requirements are built in while the tokenisation enables us to track and trace their use for monetisation and auditability.
-
Proven Technologies: Decentralised Exchanges, Tokenisation and Smart Contracts have been the few successfully implemented Blockchain concepts currently being used in Supply Chains and FSI.
